The Mindworks Surrey eating disorder team are celebrating achieving national accreditation following observation along with excellent feedback from the children, young people and families who use our services.
The report from the Quality Network for Community Eating Disorders found that “the team were operating at a high level with multiple examples of best practice.” The report also praised the staff members who took a multidisciplinary approach to care.
Young people and their parents and carers who were interviewed spoke highly of the service, noting that they felt well supported between appointments, staff were very friendly and they felt listened to. Key workers often went above and beyond to deliver a high quality service.
Dr Shereen Hafferee, consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist for Mindworks, said: “There aren’t many services that have the accreditation. This is a huge achievement for the service, especially during the challenging context of the pandemic.
“The team have done an amazing job!”
