This service supports children and young people who are in crisis and require more intensive support. Our teams work alongside children, young people and their family/carers.

To access support from this service, a professional must create a request for support. If you are a professional, visit the request support page to find out more information on how to do this.

Crisis and urgent requests for support remain our top priority. Urgent Care Practitioners conduct urgent assessments ensuring an appropriate and timely response Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

If you find yourself struggling or feeling distressed with your thoughts and feelings, it can be helpful to create a plan to keep yourself safe. Click on the 'My safety plan' bubble for more information.

Paediatric Triage Line

Emergency Department (ED) paediatric staff can now call (via the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS FT switchboard) and speak to a clinician to discuss children and young people who have presented out of hours and need support to identify the correct pathway eg do they need to be admitted to the paediatric ward or could they, with support of services such as the crisis line, Emergency Duty Team and CYP Havens, go home with a follow up from the crisis team the next day for a full assessment in the community. Paediatric staff can discuss diversion from ED following their assessment and safety planning with the Paediatric Triage Line staff 5pm-11pm, seven days per week via the Trust switchboard on 0300 555 5222.
