Our New Leaf service supports and provides assessment and intervention for children and young people who are in care, care leavers, adopted and/or under Special Guardianship Orders who are affected by developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. We also offer support to unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) in the above-mentioned categories, and support and monitor funding agreements for children and young people in care who are placed outside of Surrey so they can access local services.

Our services span three key areas:

Care Leavers

The service works with Surrey young people aged 16-25 years who are leaving care and who have a registered GP in Surrey.

Children in Care

The service works with looked after children up to their 18th birthday, who are living in Surrey and 20 miles beyond Surrey border.

We also administer therapy funding for Surrey looked after children placed more than 20 miles from the Surrey border and requiring emotional and mental health need services.  This is our ‘out of county’ provision for looked after children.

Post-order Support

We provide a dedicated service to children and young people aged 0 - 18 years who are subject to either an adoption or Special Guardianship Order, as well as their adoptive parent(s) / special guardians and any professionals who are involved.
